Imagine: It’s a warm summer night, your feet are burrowed in the sand and you’re nestled close to your loved ones under a luminescent full moon. The flames of a bonfire crackle and dance along with your friends and other vacationers.

Full moon parties on the beach are a fun way to spend a night in Turks and Caicos. Local caterers and event planners such as Kissing Fish Catering take care of all the details and can even arrange for a live band to perform for you and your guests upon request.

Bonfires and beach parties are just a couple of the many things to do at night during your Turks and Caicos vacation. While it’s true that Turks and Caicos’ nightlife is far more conservative than Aruba or even Barbados, that doesn’t mean you can’t have a good time once the sun goes down. Beach shacks offer a laid-back island eating experience: listen to local music, imbibe with local beer or rum, and try a taste of our local delicacy, conch. On Wednesday nights, Smokey’s on da Bay, a local favorite, has a very popular fish fry.

If you find yourself in a gambling mood, try your luck at a local casino. The Casablanca Casino offers all the classics including roulette, craps, baccarat and blackjack and is open from 1pm-5am.

Of course, you can never go wrong with dinner and movie. L’ Raye Cinemas is the island’s one and only movie theater. Named after Hollywood actress and first lady of Turks and Caicos, LisaRaye McCoy Misick, the theater opened in 2007 and has three screens.
